In the Seattle area, Classesandworkshops.com offers modestly priced classes in art, music, crafts and writing on the University of Washington campus. These may be one-day seminars or meet for several sessions at just under $100.

The Art Museum Of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls offers open session figure drawing with a live model for $10.00 per session and instruction in throwing pottery on a wheel for $15.00 per session.

Medium Price Range Art Workshops

This medium price range is the most common for workshops and seminars. Ranging from $300 to $800, these workshops are taught by many well-known regional and national artists. The sessions may be day classes or available in a package price that includes lodging and perhaps meals.
